a first, despite this many infusions in – but an entry that is actually contemporaneous to the experience! to some disappointment, though – a technical issue with my playback caused an interruption in the music while I was pretty deep in. coupled with an outside noise distraction that caught my attention, i didn’t have quite the experience i set out to have.

all very fitting in a slightly frustrating way, as I had the intention to really dig deep into my attachment to outcomes and the paralysis it oven leaves me with in doing new artistic endeavours. but ‘ya pays your money and ya’ take your chances’ i suppose. and ultimately the k is supposed to work, even if the active infusion itself what you might have hoped for.

that all said, however, i felt pretty good about this particular mix. i intentionally avoided some of the darker drone works i have used previously. i recently discovered the works of arooj aftab and wanted to sort of set the tone with a track from her most recent album as my lead in, followed, almost exclusively, by some other artists that were new-ish to me. having spent time with this playlist before, during, and after a k. Its very dreamlike, very light, like how sunlight gets funny around the edges when it shines through liquid.
